DALE HOLLOW LAKE

Dale Hollow Lake was created in 1943 for the purpose of flood control. Later, power generating units were added by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for electricity. The lake is approximately 30,000 acres and is one of the cleanest lakes in the United States. The lake has over 600 miles of shoreline!

Dale Hollow Lake attracts millions of visitors per year and offers many activities including boating, skiing, camping, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and much more. Scuba diving is a popular sport on Dale Hollow Lake; divers are thrilled with the pristine state of the lake.

Fishing is also a favorite pastime on the Dale Hollow lakefront property and anglers consistently catch Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, Trout, and Muskie. The world record Smallmouth was caught on Dale Hollow Lake and every year anglers from around the world come here for a shot at the next world record catch. Dale Hollow Lake is a popular wintering area for the Bald Eagle. These beautiful birds can generally be observed from mid-December to mid-February.
